Kinetic Testing Graphs
These graphs illustrate the reduction of substrate (sodium salicylate) over time with exposure to various activated charcoal products. The upper graph uses 1:1 AC:substrateconcentrations (10% of the therapeutic dosing for AC) to show that the differences between the AC cookie (wafers), raw AC (PM50) and AC products (AA=Actidose Aqua) are minimal. The lower graph compares AA and the cookie in 5:1 ratios (50% of the therapeutic dosing) to show the adsorptivity is identical. The usual therapeutic dosing is 10:1 AC:substrate.
